ANNOUNCEMENT OF FACULTY POSITION 

ARTIST TEACHER OF CLARINET 

UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS

DIVISION OF INSTRUMENTAL STUDIES 

POSITION: Full-time tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor

STARTING DATE: August 15, 2018

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Teach undergraduate and graduate studio clarinet lessons and studio class. Supervise graduate degree requirements including supervision of dissertation documents.  Recruit highly qualified students. Participate fully in academic and professional activities including service assignments. Other duties may include, but are not limited to, coaching chamber music and teaching clarinet literature classes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Demonstrated excellence as a clarinet teacher and currently active performer. Proven record of attracting, developing, and retaining outstanding students. Demonstrated success in teaching at the college/university level. Master’s degree required. Earned doctorate preferred. Professional experience may be considered in place of earned degrees.
